Reduce Downtime & Costs, Increase Efficiency & Safety
Our Condition Monitoring services deliver diagnostics and holistic insights into machine health that help optimize asset performance, minimize downtime, and enhance operational efficiency. We offer three Condition Monitoring subscription levels – Inform, Advise, and Partner – so there’s sure to be one that fits every budget and support need. Review the information below to determine the level that is right for your operation, then contact us for more information or to get started!
Three Levels of Monitoring
Inform
This level is ideal for customers who currently track planned maintenance (PM) and want to continue performing maintenance themselves. Using VisionLink, Foresight, SOS, and other tools to monitor equipment, it is a proactive approach that informs customers about possible issues.
- Prioritized review of oil samples and remote diagnostics
- Prioritized review of Cat® Inspect machine inspections and undercarriage inspections
- Condition Monitoring updates for service intervals and repair recommendations
Advise
This is a good choice for customers currently tracking planned maintenance (PM) via a spreadsheet or whiteboard. Carter will set up the starting point within VisionLink for you, so you’ll always know exactly when PM’s are due across your entire fleet. Your people and Carter Machinery then perform the maintenance together.
- All services from the “Inform” level
- Assigned Condition Monitoring Advisor
- Service letter review and expert guidance
- Preventive maintenance fleet setup training in new VisionLink for customers to self-monitor assets that don’t have a Customer Value Agreement (CVA)
- Automated, bi-weekly fleet summary reporting
- Your choice of monthly or quarterly review sessions on fleet performance
- Proactive notification to field service of upcoming, scheduled maintenance and items flagged by VisionLink
- Quarterly fleet strategy planning discussion
- Major component life trending and tracking
Partner
This is the best choice for customers with an upper-level equipment management service, such as one tied to a Maintenance and Repair Contract (MARC) or Total Maintenance & Repair (TM&R) agreement where components, repairs, and planned maintenance are all covered. A Product Support Sales Representative and Condition Monitoring Analyst meet quarterly to review the fleet and key performance indicators (KPI’s) to ensure everything is on track for success. Carter Machinery will perform all the maintenance for you.
- All services from the “Inform” and “Advise” levels
- KPI tracking, including ran vs. scheduled time, unplanned downtime, total time and idle time, and PM timeliness
- Bi-weekly reviews of contract status
- Fixed hourly rate for maintenance and repair
- Yearly Technical Assessment 1 (TA1) inspection and asset evaluations
- Technical Assessment 2 (TA2) inspection when machine approaches 5,000 hours or end-of-warranty period
- Structured parts ordering based on maintenance intervals
